I made it back before Monday!
So I thought I'd just give you a brief run down of last week!
Monday - M arrived home from an 8 day trip - Sydney - Hong Kong - London - Singapore - Melbourne - Sydney. I feel exhausted just thinking about it!
We spent the evening at his parents house and had a nice BBQ and I had a few to many vinos (nothing new there then)!
Tuesday - Was spent food shopping, painting nails and watching The Biggest Loser!
Wednesday - We went out for a lovely meal with M's friend (from the flying world) and his girlfriend! We went to Surrey Hills and ate at a Tapas restaurant called Cru54. Which is owned by a 747-400 Captain. I must say it was lovely and I'd definitely like to go back again!
Thursday - Nothing! Bliss...
Friday - My friend Cous came over!!! Cous is an Aussie living in the UK and is over here on holidays visiting family & friends!
It's quite a bazaar story actually -
We worked together at Qantas London Base and became really good friends. Then when I decided (with the help of M) that I would move to Australia, it turned out I was moving to exactly the same place that Cous was born and raised - what are the chances!!!???
So Friday night Cous came round and we enjoyed a good catch up over a few drinkies! I love catching up on what's going on back at the London Base but it does make me a feel a bit *nostalgic!
*1. a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's home or homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time.
What a perfect description!
That's not to say I'm not happy here! How could I not be?! Yesterday was spent at the beach topping up my tan with M and Cous and yes I enjoyed the water very much!! I think I've cracked it - FINALLY!!!
Today, Sunday - M's gone again! Jo'Burg this time! Only for 5 days so not to bad and then he has nearly a month off!
What to do today - Beach or Boat???? Hmmm......tricky one..............I'll fill you in later!
HAPPY TANNING XXX

So much to say............so little time!
No I have not forgotten the fact that I kill for Diamonds!! I have just been a very busy little bee this past week! I have finally found a spare 10 minutes to quickly explain myself, then I'll be back on Monday (M will be in Jo'Burg so no distractions) and I'll fill you all in on my goings on!
The Newspapers say NSW is the hottest place in the World this weekend! Big call!! To be honest I've felt hotter but then we are on the Coast, further inland would be pretty unbearable I'd imagine!
I'm a very happy chappy at the moment, I have so much to look forward to!!
1 - M & I are going down the coast next weekend and it just so happens to be Valentines Day!
2 - The following Friday after that Baby Bro & LC (his girlfriend) arrive for 2 weeks!!!!
3- Then the following week we all go to Port Douglas along with some girlfriends!
Life is good!
I'll be back Monday with lot's more to say.........................X

IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!
One of my favourite times of the week, Friday evening! It's been another gorgeous sunny Sydney day and I have 2 full days off ahead of me!!! Even on Sunday night when I start thinking 'ohhh why do weekends go sooo quickly? Work again tomorrow!' I can then look forward to seeing my beloved boyfriend who arrives home Monday afternoon after a week away! Life is good!!!! What more could a girl ask for??
Well since you ask.....for me not to be sitting in on my lonesome (apart from Libby Cat) staring at another computer screen (obviously the last 8 hours at work wasn't enough for me)! And instead enjoying a lovely glass of chilled Sauv Blanc with the rest of the after work 'suits' in the City and watching the sun set on another perfect 30 something degree day!
Don't feel to sorry for me though I indulge in this type of behaviour several times a week usually, which is why I made the decision that this weekend would be different! I'm very much looking forward to experiencing a Saturday morning with a clear head (quite a rarity at my house - Saturday mornings are usually spent looking for a cab back from the city)!
Tomorrow will definitely be a beach day! I have recently learned to love the ocean after carrying around a fear of the waves since I arrived here a year and a half ago!
M (my boyfriend) puts it down to me growing up in England and therefore never/ hardly ever visiting the seaside (aka beach). Holidays were taken in the Med where the water's like a bath and waves don't exist! So therefore he thinks I'm simply not used it.
I on the other hand have a slightly more dramatic version of why I don't like the sea (aka the ocean, as I'm constantly reminded to call it)............
It was one of those rare occasions in the UK where we were able to visit the shingled shores of the UK and long story short a wave broke on me forcing me under. I panicked and couldn't find the surface and Mum had to run in and rescue me! Now whether or not my fear stems back to this I don't know, but I much prefer my version to M's!
So anyway last Saturday the temperature hit 40 something degrees and I was splashing about ankle deep, paddling as I like to call it! Watching 6 year olds fearlessly running and jumping in and quite frankly feeling like a complete wimp, when I just thought right enoughs enough!! I was getting cranky as it was soooo HOT and the water was the only way to cool down, so I took the plunge, literally!! It felt so good! Of course my little heart was pumping like crazy but this was a major achievement for me and M was very proud - ahh! Not to mention the beach hair, sea salt works wonders! I just hope tomorrow the waves aren't too big and I can enjoy the water again without my friends thinking I'm a complete idiot! B's a total water baby while Miss.S won't go in as her fake tan will run so I guess I fill the gap in the market quite nicely...
Back to this evening..... I'm thinking movie, pizza and painting my nails the fabulous colour 'Red Hot Ayers Rock'..................HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!! SJ XXX

And so it begins...
Here we go.......
I finally made it! After thinking about the magical world of 'blogging' for many months now I've decided to take the plunge!
Firstly I'm going to cover my back and point out that I'm a girl away from home (although I am permanently located in the Sunburnt country) and therefore decided a blog would be the best way to keep everyone back in the UK up to date with my adventures/ day2day hum drum..... So now if no one else finds me interesting enough to follow, my sensitive little soul won't be too hurt!!!
Please feel free to post your comments of love and support!
What now???
So I was trying to think of a catchy name for my blog and when you combine this with finding one that hasn't already been snapped up, it's actually quite a tough task! I wanted one that meant something....and then it came to me...
I Kill for Diamonds.....
One of my earliest childhood memories is me standing on my Dad's desk, mass of blonde hair, wearing an 'I Kill for Chocolate' T-Shirt. I think I was about 3, I'm sure Mum will correct me if I'm wrong!! So I thought I'd mature the caption and replace chocolate with diamonds! I think it sums me up quite well and as I can't pay for diamonds I would actually have to kill for them!! Nevertheless I am a true girlie girl I'm afraid and girls can dream can't they???
That pretty much sums up my introduction................So stay tuned guys & girls and be prepared to be entertained! I'm hoping that now I'm going to be sharing my life on the www it's going to push me to be more adventurous so I can brag to everybody!
Ciao for now SJ xxx
